Broadband is a
general term for any technology that transfers data over a broad
bandwidth connection. Such a connection allows for much higher
transmission speed and quality than its low bandwidth equivalent.
Broadband technology can be used for a variety of different
purposes, including high speed internet access (e.g. Cable, DSL, T1,
etc.), and VoIP (broadband phone) connections.
