Data
Encryption - Description |
|
by: Jeremy
Maddock |
Data encryption
is the process of coding digital data in such a way that it cannot
be read if intercepted by a third party. A user must have a special
password in order to gain access to encrypted information.
Encryption is used in a variety of internet communication processes,
including VoIP conversations. Encryption is especially important for
content that is of a sensitive or private matter, such as in the
cases of financial transactions and medical prescriptions.
